President Letter

Hello everyone and welcome to the Arab Spring Summit! My name is Lujine Hazineh and I am a senior at Ahliyyah and Mutran, and as my MUN career is unfortunately coming to an end, I am ecstatic and beyond grateful to be sharing it with you guys!

In this special committee we are going back in time to a very influential event that had altered the lives of countless people within the Middle East and North Africa, which is going to be the key part of our discussions. In this committee you will have the opportunity to explore the complex interplay and impacts of social movements, and how such movements caused political upheaval which all lead to a very transformative period for all countries within the Middle East and North Africa and affects the way it is being governed today! In this committee you will be tested on your quick thinking skills in writing directives that suit a specific simulation, and we will be working closely with the crisis team. I expect you to prepare properly for this upcoming conference to be able to participate adequately in our exciting debates. I encourage you all to represent each of your delegations with passion and in your own unique ways, and hopefully have a wonderful experience!
