Dearest advocates and esteemed members of the jury of the Ancestral Rights Court,
Consider yourselves fortunate to be part of a committee held in such high regard. This court is not a place for the weak; it is for those who believe in the power of their persuasion, for those who stand firm in their convictions, even when the claims seem outrageous. I am confident that each and every one of you has the potential to achieve greatness. As advocates, you possess unique skills that will allow you to thrive in debate. Court advocates are set apart by their drive, dedication, and their ability to make even the simplest concepts sound complex. This is what will make you remarkable debaters. When I was an advocate, I found great joy in uncovering the wildest conspiracies and twisting them to my advantage in order to make my claim believable. The deeper you dig, the more you discover. Keep looking, keep researching you never know what you might find. Who knows, you might stumble upon that critical piece of evidence that proves your claim in order to strengthen your case. Always remember, the truth may seem distant, but it is often closer than it appears. Never give up on a case that seems difficult; the truth is always within reach. For the next three days, this committee will be your home and your team will become your family. Treat them with respect, work together, and most importantly, win together. Together you and your team will prove your case showing everyone that you truly are the greatest which I know you all are.
God willing the truth will prevail in hopes that the innocent will be freed and those who are guilty are condemned to face justice. My name is Zeena Suboh, as the president of the ancestral rights court I welcome you to this year’s A&MMUN conference.
Best of luck,
Zeena Suboh.
